Arguing in court that the defendant has been charged with either the wrong crime, or a fake crime, is an interesting strategy that completely avoids presenting any exculpatory evidence to the defense

Trump: well, i didn’t actually “steal it”, I just borrowed it without asking, so I’m not actually guilty of theft and your accusation is completely baseless
